![]() It wouldn't surprise me if I can take it to at least 15. I had hoped when I bought it that I would be able to drive it for at least 10 years. By far, the best feature is the combination of the ride/driving experience and the space available to carry things. Available transmissions include: 6-speed automatic. The SYNC that connects my phone to the stereo system is fabulous, so I did not continue with the Sirius membership. Seats are easy to get in and out of, though my 80+ mom now does take longer to be able to get in. The ride is fabulous, very smooth, but you can still feel the road. It did take me a little bit of time to get used to the engine turning off whenever I stopped the car, and it still makes some friends who ride with me a bit nervous. On any given day, it might be a rolling craft store or class or a political campaign office. The mileage has been great, especially for a small SUV. I had a non-hybrid Escape previously and was so happy to be able to upgrade when I could. But this thing is so smooth and nice on the road, the road noise is low (compared to my wife's Civic which is ridiculously loud), and the steering is so soft and fluid you can control the the vehicle with a single finger. My legs get cramped up or my back starts to hurt a little after only 20 minutes of driving.
